Getting Started with ISO Code Extractor
Last updated 3 weeks ago
ISO Code Extractor converts country names into standardized ISO codes, language details, and region information directly inside your HubSpot workflows. Use it to normalize messy country data, enrich CRM records for segmentation, and ensure your international data is consistent across contacts, companies, deals, and tickets.
How It Works
- A HubSpot workflow reaches the Extract ISO Code action for a record
- The app reads the country name from a property you choose (e.g., "Country" or "Headquarters Country")
- The country name is matched against a comprehensive database that recognizes full names, abbreviations, alternative names, and ISO codes
- The action returns the standardized ISO codes, primary language, all spoken languages, and geographic region
- Your workflow branches or continues based on whether a match was found, and subsequent steps can use any of the returned values
Key Capabilities
Flexible Country Matching
The app recognizes many input formats for the same country. You can provide a full English name ("United States"), an abbreviation ("USA"), an ISO code ("US" or "USA"), an alternative or native name ("Deutschland"), or even varied capitalization ("FRANCE"). The matching is case-insensitive and handles common variations automatically.
ISO Alpha-2 and Alpha-3 Codes
Every successful match returns both the two-letter code (e.g., "US") and the three-letter code (e.g., "USA"). Use whichever format your downstream systems or integrations require.
Language and Region Data
Beyond country codes, the action returns the country's primary language, primary language code, a list of all official languages, and the geographic region. This is valuable for content localization, language-based routing, and regional segmentation.
Multi-Object Support
The workflow action works with contacts, companies, deals, and tickets. Use it wherever country data appears in your CRM.
