Getting Started with Date Manager
Last updated 3 weeks ago
Date Manager lets you perform advanced date and time calculations directly inside your HubSpot workflows. Add or subtract days, weeks, months, or years from any date property to automate follow-up schedules, contract renewals, SLA deadlines, and other time-based business logic -- all without writing code.
How It Works
- A HubSpot workflow reaches the Add Time to Date action
- The action reads a date from a record property (contact, company, deal, or ticket)
- It adds or subtracts the time units you specified (years, months, weeks, days)
- The calculated date is returned as a result you can use in later workflow steps or copy to another property
Key Capabilities
Flexible Time Arithmetic
Combine multiple time units in a single action. For example, add 1 year and 30 days at once to calculate a contract renewal date with a grace period.
Add or Subtract
Enter positive numbers to move a date forward or negative numbers to move it backward. Use this to calculate past dates like "90 days before an event" just as easily as future dates.
Works Across All Record Types
The action is available in contact, company, deal, and ticket workflows, so you can use it wherever your date-based processes live.
Handles Edge Cases
Month-end dates, leap years, and timezone differences are handled automatically so your calculations stay accurate.
